I agree with you dawg. When we head to Galveston sometimes what we look forward to the most is on the night we get there before even checking into a hotel we like to park on the Seawall and just enjoy the sounds and smells. Having to pay to park would certainly put a damper on the experience of going to the beach. Plus if tourists are having to pay

That is so devastating to hear. I sincerely hope they rebuild. After my husband and I stayed there we couldn't wait to bring our daughter. Now she may never have that experience.
