I have finally figured out the schedule of the Ecstasy.  She should be docking this morning sometime after 7am.  It is so much fun to watch her coming into the channel now that we have the new Harbor cam.  I really missed the Seawolf cam.  Thank you Galveston.com!

 the sunrises , and watching the clouds drift is too cool. if looking throuh the east cam look down.. see that dock?? that is a neat place to hang.

 Well, she will be leaving the evening of the July 12th and returning ealry morning the 17th. I know this because it will have a couple of very special passengers on it. I am hoping to be down there to greet them myself and spend a long weekend upon their return!

 By the way.....for all you cruise ship watchers out there.....the Ecstasy comes in tomorrow morning somewhere around 7am.  You can see it going by the Seawolf cam too.

Summer classes are a lot harder than I thought.  I tried to email you the other day but it bounced back.

 Going to be watching the webcam closely this afternoon hoping to get a glimpse of my girls waving and carrying on before their trip. Anyone who wants to go down there and carry signs to embarrass them or anything like that has my blessing

I doubt it, it's a bunch of (old) Girls Scouts, knowing the age I doubt they were wearing anymore then required by law. They boarded very early, right after noon.

I have the Cruise schedules for the last 3-4 years, that way I know exactly what day what ship is coming in & which pier they will be docking at.  The 2008 schedule is not as exciting as the 2007 was.....for some reason, 2008 only has 3 ships coming & going (Carnival Conquest, Carnival Ecstasy & RCL Voyager).  Last year (2007) there were 5 different ships....

Did Galveston loose the priviledge to have the Grand Princess &  the other 2 RCL ships (Rhapsody of the Seas & Splendour of the Seas) call Galveston one of its Ports??

So sad....Loved seeing the Grand Princess when she was in port.  I just checked the New 2009 schedule & it's the same 3 ships we currently have??  Strange........

But Still love to see them coming in & leaving.  The East Harbor Cam is my cam of choice these days too.....it's got a Great View.

The Rhapsody and Splendor were pulled by RCCL.  They have been sticking their toes in the water with more exotic ports.  The Rhapsody was doing an Asian tour.  It now spends it's time either in Australia or Alaska.  The Splendor is in Italy.

There are people who believe that RCI is testing the support of a larger ship (Voyager) and how well it will do in Galveston.  The idea is that they may put a large Voyager type ship full time in Galveston when the Oasis of the Seas is released if Galveston can support it.

 I agree with you Paxton Fan.  I love seeing them come in and go out and wish there were more than the current two.  I did find another website to see the ships go by in the channel, but I know I will probably not show the link properly.  It is Galvestonsurfcam.com.  Check it out sometime.

 The Ecstasy will be in on Saturday.  I believe she usually sails down the channel around 7am.  She leaves the harbor around 4pm.

The Conquest will be in on Sunday.  She comes down the channel around 6am and leaves around 4pm. 

If you look at the Cruise cam and see the harbor looking active and the terminal door open then a ship is coming in.  I have been watching these ships for about 2 years now so I know all the clues.

 Does anyone know where the Ecstasy is?  She was in on last Thursday and should have returned yesterday.  I thought her next cruise would be this coming Saturday.

 They moved her down south in the gulf of mexico to avoid ol'Gus...should be in pretty quick now that the weather has smoothed out....
