Caroline Dorsett is the Executive Director of the Galveston Island Humane Society.  She is truly one of Galveston's heroes,

I ran into her at the San Luis on Saturday and she invited me to stop by the temporary shelter that was setup for the Humane Society.  It was a moving experience.

Thank you so much for the information - I will pass it along to all I know here in South Florida. Being that we are so far away and right now you don't need us to interfere in the recovery - we at least can help financially! Keep us posted, I am reading daily the Forum and Blogs to keep people here informed.
