I hosted a dinner party at Bernardo's in early 2008. What a mistake!

The menu was not the one posted online ("yeah, we're working on changing that"), the white wine was served at near room temperature ("I'll just ice it down for you, won't take more than a few minutes") and the service was chatty and intrusive.

Food was acceptable, but indifferent management and poorly-trained waitress were not. I won't be back.

Of all meats to have overcooked , I'd say fish has to be the worst. What a huge let down. I can see there being a timing problem if there was a steak that had to be cooked at the same time , buy not pasta , that is done in no time at all.

Snapper is such a delicious fish. It doesn't come cheap these days either.

it's a shame you had to mention your fish was overcooked instead of your waiter catching this problem head on , and doing something about it rather than saying" OH WELL". tsk tsk tsk.

Why would anyone smother a fish with cream?

Glad to see the restaurant reviews , let me know if you ever need a date(wink).
