Delicious lunch today at the Market on L

Had a great sandwich today for lunch at the Market Café, corner of 16th and Avenue L.  The BLTA (for Avocado) on 9 grain bread was exactly what I needed!  Several of my friends had grilled chicken with fried green tomatoes, which they raved about. I didn't have room for dessert but the lemon bar sample will cause me to go back for one of those.  Lunchtime was busy which is a good sign for the place. They have excellent take-out down-home dinners if you don't want to cook, and currently all entrees are offered at 10% off after 4pm.

I have been there a few times, and am always impressed. Sometimes they are out of menu items, but food and service are first rate.
